For Bacem working in olive wood started as an extracurricular activity when he was in high school and became his vocation in 2001. Like many of his fellow artisans, he first worked at the French firm which introduced the olive wood sector in Sidi Bouzid and when he acquired enough skills, Bacem decided to start his own business. Bacem favors the artistic aspects of his profession and hopes to be able to grow and access new markets.
