Hassen is form El Hencha a town located at the northern end of the large olive grove in the Sfax region, as a kid he used to spend a lot of his time playing among the grove’s olive trees not expecting that he will become the first olive wood artisan of his native town. Hassen is methodical and highly organized, he thinks that a successful artisan must have both creative and business skills. He is proud of being a pioneer of the craft in El Hencha and hopes to be part of the artisans who will be the best representatives of Tunisian olive wood products abroad.
